Anthem and Author Reunited

Took the "Anthem and Author Reunited" bike tour this morning from the Frederick Visitors Center to learn about the life of Francis Scott Key and some history of the period as we road around Frederick. The actual manuscript for the Stars Bangled Banner is here in Frederick for awhile. The Visitor's Center has a very moving film about the British advancing on Baltimore which is on loan from Ft. McHenry. The Bike tour was lead by George Ruszat who did a magnificent job! For all you history buffs who are local, other related events can be seen at:

Great Local Photographers

I have often given this space to the work of local photographers. Here are some recent great examples of nearby photos taken by locals who have photo blogs and web sites. If you click on the links in the captions, you will go directly to their web sites. Check out their archives and galleries, they well are worth viewing. In order are photos by Don Frame, Dudley Warner, Bill Adkins, Cam Miller, Kai Hagen, Marc Weinberg and Scott Speck.
