Students at the University of Maryland are putting finishing touches on
their projects for The City of Frederick as part of the Partnership for

variety of issues, opportunities and challenges facing the City.
PALS
students recently presented their final findings to Mayor McClement and
the Aldermen on continuing the Shared Use Path from Carroll Creek
Linear Park to the Monocacy River. Led by Dr. Christopher Ellis,
Associate Professor of Plant Science and Landscape Architecture,
graduate students developed an approximately 3.5 mile eco-friendly
shared use path, waystations, access points to existing and developing
neighborhoods, and stream habitat revitalization. To view the
presentation, visit Shared Use Path.
