Spring Freecycle Roundup
Scheduled for April 23, 2106

The spring Freecycle Roundup collection will be held on Saturday, April 23rd at the Department of Public Works located at 111 Airport Drive. Items can be dropped off between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
City residents
may request pickup service. This service is scheduled on a first come
first serve basis and times will be scheduled between March 25th and
April 15th. To reserve your time, please call Ben Hose at 301-600-1506. Freecycle Roundup is for City residents only. Questions? Call 301-600-1440.

East Street Corridor Small Area Plan Meeting
Presentation & Open House Planned

The City Planning Department is hosting a presentation and open house
for the upcoming East Street Corridor Small Area Plan. Residents,
property owners, business owners and all citizens are welcome and
encouraged to attend and participate.

Talk to the Mayor Tuesday
March 22 from 2-6 pm

Mayor McClement sets aside time each month to meet informally with citizens to discuss topics or issues of their choice. The March Talk to the Mayor will be held on the 4th Tuesday, March 22nd from 2-6 PM.
The
Mayor's office is located in City Hall at 101 North Court St. No
appointment is necessary and citizens meet with the Mayor on a first

I of the Culler Lake Renaissance is underway. Friends of Baker Park, in
conjunction with The City of Frederick, have been planning the much
needed project since 2011.

FPD's 1st Crime Summit The
1st Community Crime Awareness and Safety Summit was held February 6th
at Hood College. FPD offered breakout sessions on: Cyber Crimes, Drugs,
Gangs, Elder Abuse, Teen Safety, Person & Home Safe ty, and Identity Theft. This highly successful event will be held again next year.
Youth Resource Fair - Saturday,
April 9th at FSK Mall. Come out and see what programs and services are
available for youth ages 5-21 in Frederick County. For more

Youth Resource Guide Available - The
Frederick Police Department along with the Frederick County Juvenile
Delinquency Prevention and Policy Board is please to announce the
release of the 4th edition of the Guide to Youth Resources in Frederick County.

The
Neighborhood Advisory Council Initiative, also known as NAC, is a forum
for residents to become involved In Identifying and recommending
positive changes to improve their neighborhoods. Each NAC meets to
discuss issues, concerns and neighborhood projects.
How Do I Become a Member?
You are already a member! So is everyone living in any one of the 12 NAC boundary areas. NAC Structure
The
City of Frederick is divided into twelve (12) areas that closely
overlap established police beats, voting districts and census tracts.
