City Community Survey
Your Input Is Valuable

The City of Frederick has launched a community survey and your input is very important!  The survey provides a method for identifying the priorities, needs, and concerns of the community.
The survey is available here or on the City's website,  under "Community Survey" in the left hand information section of the website.
Those without access to a computer can make arrangements to take the survey at City Hall, located at 101 North Court Street.  Call 301-600-1380 to make arrangements.

Grand Opening of Carroll Creek Phase II
You're Invited!

Mayor Randy McClement is pleased to announce the Grand Opening Ceremony for Carroll Creek Phase II will take place on Thursday, May 19 at 4:00 PM. The public is encouraged to attend.

"I am very excited to announce the completion of this project. Not only will we open Phase II but we will also turn on the last two fountains on the Creek. This will add to the vitality of our City and enhance the beauty and history of the once "hub" of commerce along the Creek." Said Mayor McClement.
The ceremony will take place by the new bridge between East Street and Patrick Street (look for the tent). Parking is available in the MARC Station parking lot located off of Wisner Street.
As in the past, attendees will receive FREE admission to Downtown Frederick Partnership's Alive @5 event immediately following the ceremony.

Draining of Culler Lake Completed

The pumping of Culler Lake has continued and some 6552 cubic yards of sediment buildup has been removed. Both the City and the Friends of Baker Park have added funds to increase the amount of dredging completed in Phase 1 to 6552 cubic yards, and not the original 4,610 cubic yards originally thought to be in the pond.
Work has begun on the grading of the safety bench around the pond perimeter, removing of the old retaining wall, and new helical piers for the support structure of the Boardwalk component.
Fountain work will also start soon. The interior of the Skatehouse has already begun to take a shape to house the new pump systems for the project (pictured).

To follow the project, visit Culler Lake Renaissance
For more information, visit FAQs
The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2016.
