Follow the Culler Lake "Renaissance"
Draining of Culler Lake Completed
|
|
The pumping of Culler Lake has continued and some 6552 cubic yards of
sediment buildup has been removed. Both the City and the Friends of
Baker Park have added funds to increase the amount of dredging completed
in Phase 1 to 6552 cubic yards, and not the original 4,610 cubic yards
originally thought to be in the pond.
Work has begun on the grading of the safety bench around the pond
perimeter, removing of the old retaining wall, and new helical piers
for the support structure of the Boardwalk component.
Fountain
work will also start soon. The interior of the Skatehouse has already
begun to take a shape to house the new pump systems for the project
(pictured).
To follow the project, visit Culler Lake Renaissance
For more information, visit FAQs
The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2016.
