A First Saturday Art and Wine Lecture in Frederick - Art Matters

I just heard about a Delaplaine program on First Saturdays at 2:00 pm called Art Matters. It is an art lecture about paintings in the National Gallery of Art.  Lee Newman, artist and Delaplaine instructor, and Marc Monahan, lecture on art and wine.   Marc Monahan is  from Spin the Bottle wine company.  21 and older, cost: Free.  Here is the schedule which you can find on their website:

June 4: Paul Cezanne’s “Still Life with Peppermint Bottle” (1893/1895)
July 2: Pablo Picasso’s “Still Life” (1918)
August 6: Bartolomè Esteban Murillo’s “The Return of the Prodigal Son” (1667/1670) 

September 3: Jean Simèon Chardin’s “Soap Bubbles” (1733/1734)
October 1: Diebenkorn, Bonnard & Vuillard: Principles of Camouflage
November 5: Annual Members Meeting (Art & Wine takes a break!)
December 3: Raphael, Copley & Bellows: Heroic Composition and the Depiction of Race

It's held at the Delaplaine which is located at 40 South Carroll Street in historic downtown Frederick, Maryland.
